No. Wireless charging isn't great. I'll tell yous why. Considering you need to residuum your telephone on the charging plate at all times! That's and so limiting that it's a deal-breaker for me. I like moving my telephone around while information technology's charging, and that'southward fine if it's tethered to a plug-point via a cable. Brand that wireless and my phone volition have to stay exactly in one position to charge. Lift it off the charging plate and it stops. To me, that'due south a downgrade.

However, the guys at MIT (Information technology's always the guys at MIT) cracked the impossible! The over-the-air Pi Charger can charge your devices as long as they're in a ane-foot range! The Pi sits on any desk, looking like a lampshade crossed itself with an Amazon Echo. Even so, what it does is truly ground-breaking. Without wires, or even contact, the Pi charges your devices past sending magnetic waves through the air. All Pi requires is a specialized charging case that receives signals from the Pi and you're good to go. The instance not just charges your device, only too protects it from adventitious falls too.
