   Hullo All,

   can someone help/ostend if you come beyond the beneath issue with smartcard authentication?

   when try to login in windows 10 by smart carte du jour, it says " The domain specified is not bachelor. please try again subsequently"

   We did increase logon cache from 3 to 10, but it did not assist.

   Whatsoever leads/ suggestions? please

2. Smartcard login

   Hello All

   I take started to use a Smartcard to login to my Windows ten Education machine. Logging in works fine only the one abrasive problem I accept is that when I boot up the car and am at the login screen it ALWAYS defaults to using a password login. This fifty-fifty happens subsequently successfully logging in with the Smartcard. ie: it doesn't "remember" that I last used a Smart carte to login.

   Is in that location a way to set the Smartcard as the default login? I still want the password login to exist an option but I ever want the Smartcard to be the default.

   Basically, I want to plough the auto on and to and so be presented with a PIN entry screen to login with my Smart carte du jour. (I'1000 the merely person that uses this machine)

   Currently I have to ALWAYS modify from a password login by selecting the Smartcard on the logon screen and only then tin can I enter the PIN.

   I besides have to change from a countersign logon to a Smartcard logon even if I have only locked my machine!

   So, is there a way I tin can fix Windows 10 to Ever default to using a Smartcard login?

   I have clients that employ Smartcards with Windows seven and it ever remembers the last logon type. Can Windows 10 practice this as well?

   My new laptop, a Thinkpad T480s has a smartcard reader and is shipped with Window 10 Pro. How can I utilize the smartcard reader to log into Windows using a smartcard?

   I'm non really interested in all kinds of technical stuff well-nigh smartcards, I'yard simply a home user and I accept a smartcard reader and several smartcards that might be usable. Elementary as that. I don't need filesystem encryption for at present either.

   I see information technology as simply logging in with an alternative input - not unlike fingerprint login really.

   Only instead of fingerprint, I want to employ smartcard.

   How to practise information technology?

   In Windows viii/viii.ane I could enroll a touchless smartcard and use it for a login. I am not seeing a manner to enroll those in Windows ten. Anyone accept any idea where that might exist?
